Who is Lou Roe?
Louis Marquel "Lou" Roe is an American former professional basketball player who was selected by the Detroit Pistons in the 2nd round of the 1995 NBA Draft. Roe played in two NBA seasons with the Pistons and Golden State Warriors. In his brief NBA career, he appeared in 66 games and scored a total of 130 points. He played collegiately at the University of Massachusetts where in 1995 he was the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, and a consensus second team All-American.
After his NBA career wound up, Roe played professionally in the CBA, Spain, South Korea, Italy, Mexico and Argentina. He is currently working with the men's basketball team at the University of Massachusetts in an administrative role, assisting his former UMass teammate and current head coach Derek Kellogg.
