Who is Maels Rodríguez?

Maels Rodríguez Corrales is a Cuban baseball player and Olympic silver medalist. He have the Cuban National Series record for strikeouts in one season after he ponch-out a total of 263 players in just 178.1 inn of play during the 2000-2001 Cuban National Series season . In that season he win 15 games and lead all Cuban pitchers in base on balls granted with 76. He led his team "Gallos de Sancti Spiritus" to the play-offs where he lost against Industriales. In six seasons of play in Cuba he won 65 games and lost 45, 1148 strikeouts in 938 inn, ERA of 2.29 and an incredible batting average against of just .177 He defect from Cuba to play Major League Baseball level but an injury in his throwing arm do not allow that dream. He is the second pitcher in Cuban player history to throw 100 mph or more and his mark of 100.5 mph is just the second behind Aroldis Chapman who have the record of 101.2 mph.
