Who is Maharaj Krishan Kaushik?

Maharaj Krishan Kaushik is a former member of the India national field hockey team and is former coach of the Indian women's national field hockey team. He was a member of the team when it won the gold medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow.In 1998, he received the Arjuna Award. He also wrote the book, The Golden Boot.Recently in July 2010 he was blamed by T S Ranjitha for the sexual harassment. Kaushik had resigned as the national coach. As per Times of India report dated 24 July 2010 Hockey India has decided not to re-appoint former coach MK Kaushik and videographer Basavraj in the future on the basis of the recommendations made by the inquiry panel.

Hockey India has found Kaushik guilty of misconduct and Ranjitha's charges of sexual harassment credible.
