Mal Blum is an American songwriter and performer from New York who has released five albums. The most recent, "Tempest In A Teacup," released in May 2013, is a collection of nine songs Baeble Music noted as "refreshing to explore" because of their "simple sincerity.". Critics often remark on Blum's strength as a lyricist Blum tours constantly and spent 2010-2012 on tour promoting "Every Time You Go Somewhere." sometimes joined by Simon LittleJohn on banjo and harmonica. In addition to headlining performances, Mal has supported Melissa Ferrick, Jenny Owen Youngs, Amanda Palmer, Jeffrey Lewis, Kimya Dawson, Bitch, Hamell on Trial and other national artists. Mal Blum is a SUNY Purchase Alumnus.
