Who is Marjorie Yang?
Marjorie Yang Mun-tak, was a non-official member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong.
She is the chair person of the Esquel Group, a cotton shirt-maker founded by her father in 1978, as well as independent non-executive director of HSBC, Swire Pacific and Novartis AG. She is a Hong Kong Member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Yang is the vice-chairman of the Asia Business Council. Fortune magazine has ranked her 39th on its annual ranking of international 50 most powerful businesswomen in the world in 2009, and she was ranked 41 on Fortune’s list in 2005, 44 in 2004 and 48 in 2000.
