Who is Mark Pine?
Mark Pine, Managing Director, joined Sigma in 2000. He has 24 years of
experience in the high technology industry and brings to Sigma
extensive management experience combined with a strong technical
background. Prior to joining Sigma, Mark was CEO and co-founder of
OnDisplay, a leading e-Business Application Platform Company. Under his
guidance, OnDisplay grew extremely rapidly and was one of the top 10
best performing IPO's in 1999. In 2000, Vignette Corporation acquired
OnDisplay for $1.8 billion. Previously, Mark was Senior Vice President
of the Server and Connectivity division of Sybase, which was the
company's largest division with revenues in excess of $450 million.
Earlier, he served as an executive officer of several successful high
technology companies. Mark has a B.A. degree in Applied Physics and
Information Science from the University of California at San Diego.
Mark has been responsible for Sigma's investments in Fogbreak Software,
ListenPoint, Steelwedge, Sychron, Vormetric, and Zenasis Technologies.
