Marlon Brando, Sr. was an American film producer and the father of Oscar-winning actor Marlon Brando and actress Jocelyn Brando.
Marlon Brando, Sr. was born in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Marie Belle, a housewife, and Eugene Everett Brando. He had German, Dutch, and English ancestry. His direct male ancestor Johann Wilhelm Brandau emigrated to New Amsterdam in the 17th century from Pfalz, Germany. In 1918, Brando Senior married Dorothy Pennebaker in Douglas, Nebraska. He died of a heart attack.
