Who is Marty Abbott?

Marty Abbott is a partner at, and founding member of, AKF Consulting and a Partner at the Silicon Valley Product Group. He is a technology and business executive with experience in Fortune 500 and internet startups. He was formerly the COO of Quigo, an advertising technology startup. Abbott spent nearly 6 years at eBay as VP of Operations and IT and SVP of Technology/CTO, during which time he was also a member of eBay's executive staff. Prior to eBay, he held domestic and international executive and management positions at Gateway, managing both the IT software development and IT Operations groups in the US and Asia Pacific regions. Abbott's software experience includes managing on and offshore organizations certified in the Capability Maturity Model for Software Development from the Software Engineering Institute. His business experience includes running a startup company and performing as a member of the senior executive team of a Fortune 500 company to include collaborating on corporate strategy. He has an M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, a B.S. in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy (West Point) and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School's Executive Education Program (Program for Management Development).
