Who was Mary Wade?
Dr Mary Julia Wade was an Australian paleontologist, perhaps best known for her work on the late Precambrian Ediacaran biota in South Australia.
Mary was a graduate of the University of Adelaide, South Australia, where she was employed up until 1971. Between 1971 — 1993 she worked for the Queensland Museum, becoming Deputy Director in 1980. She became an Honorary Research Associate of the Queensland Museum after retiring in 1993.
