Who is Melba Acosta?

Melba Acosta Febo Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico is an attorney, certified public accountant, notary public and corporate executive who is the Secretary of Treasury of Puerto Rico for the governance of Alejandro García Padilla. Acosta was a former Director of the Office of Management and Budget and a former Chief of Staff of the Municipality of San Juan, and has held different corporate positions at the R & G Financial Corporation such as Chief Administrative Officer, Corporate Risk Manager, and Chief Financial Officer. She was also a Corporate Counsel at McConnell Valdes LLC and a Tax Consultant at Price Waterhouse. Acosta has a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico, a Master in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico.
