Co-recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1985 and the National Medal of Science in 1988. Member of the National Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Medicine and Foreign Member of the Royal Society (London). Director of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Pfizer Director since 1996.
