Just as his other two brothers Miloš and the famous coach Velibor - "Bora" Milutinović he also played with Partizan Belgrade as defender in the 1950s and the 1960s, having played a total of 194 games and scored 9 goals, of which 61 were league matches, and one league goal. With them, he was 3 times the Yugoslav First League champion: in 1960-61, in 1961-62 and in 1962-63.

He was part of the Yugoslav squad at the 1958 FIFA World Cup, but unfortunately didn't get to play any match, ending up having no caps for the national team.
