Who is Mimi Walters?
Mimi K. Walters is a Republican State Senator from the state of California, representing the 37th District since 2012. She previously represented the 33rd Senate District before redistricting forced her to change districts. She also served in the California State Assembly for four years from 2004 to 2008, where she served in the Republican leadership as Assistant Republican Leader and Vice Chair of the Appropriations Committee.
Currently, Walters is running to represent California’s 45th Congressional District, which is being vacated by U.S. Congressman John Campbell. Campbell, along with Congressmen Kevin McCarthy, Darrell Issa, and Ed Royce, endorsed Walters during the 2014 Primary Election.
