Who was Modest Morariu?
Modest Morariu was a poet, essayist, prose writer and translator from Romania.
Morariu was born in Chernivtsi. He was a director of the Meridiane publishing house, and translated, amongst others, works by André Malraux and Albert Camus into Romanian.
