Who is Nagaru Tanigawa?

Nagaru Tanigawa is a Japanese author from Hyōgo Prefecture, in the Kinki region of Japan. He is a graduate of the law school at Kwansei Gakuin University. He is best known for The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya for which he won the grand prize at eighth annual Sneaker Awards and has been adapted as an anime television series. While Tanigawa was on hiatus writing his light novel series, he started working on a manga series titled Amnesia Labyrinth, serialized in Dengeki Bunko Magazine. The first volume of Amnesia Labyrinth was released in Japan in August 2009, and in North America in February 2011.
