Who is Nancy Kahalewai?

Nancy S. Kahalewai is a teacher, author and certified practitioner of Hawaiian massage or lomilomi.

Hawaiian Lomilomi: Big Island Massage was the first 'how to' book on lomilomi to be published. It was later revised and reprinted and translated into German and Japanese editions. In 2010, she released the third edition with color photos from her home in New Zealand.

Kahalewai is the publisher of Ho'opono by Pali Jae Lee, as well as Dance of Power by Susan Gregg.

A Hawaii licensed massage therapist since 1977, Kahalewai founded two massage schools on the Big Island of Hawaii, co-directed the Kona Ironman Triathlon massage team and the Volcano Marathon, and founded Island Moonlight Retreat at Morere Hot Springs, New Zealand in 2006.
