Nimesh Kampani is an Indian investment banker. He is the founder and chairman of the JM Financial group of companies. His personal wealth was valued at US$595 million in 2009 making him the 83rd richest in India, at that time. Kampani is a commerce graduate from Sydenham College, Mumbai, and a qualified Chartered Accountant. He has experience, spanning three decades, in advising corporations on financial needs. He joined with Morgan Stanley in 1999, in a securities trading and investment banking joint venture. This partnership ended in 2007, with Kampani selling his stake in brokerage for $445 million, and buying Morgan Stanley's stake in investment banking for $20 million.

He is currently the chairman of JM Financial, and holds directorship in several other companies. He works with his younger brother Ashith Kampani and his son Vishal Kampani, and lives in Cuffe Parade in the city of Mumbai.

The Andhra Pradesh HC quashed the lookout notice against him, acquitting him of charges and paving the way to return to India.
