Who was Noboru Nakamura?
Noboru Nakamura was a Japanese film director and screenwriter. His 1963 film Twin Sisters of Kyoto was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His 1967 film Portrait of Chieko was also nominated for the Best Foreign Language Oscar. His 1967 film Lost Spring was entered into the 17th Berlin International Film Festival. It was announced that his three films, Home Sweet Home, When It Rains, It Pours, and The Shape of Night, will screen at the Tokyo Filmex in 2013.
