Who is Noel Zancanella?

Noel Zancanella is an American songwriter and record producer based in Los Angeles, California.

Since 2009, Zancanella has been signed to Patriot Games Publishing, the company founded by OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder. The signing came through Zancanella co-writing OneRepublic’s hit “Good Life.” That song became the third single from the pop-rock quintet’s sophomore album, Waking Up. “Good Life” has appeared in the films Eat Pray Love, Easy A, and One Day, and in the television shows Cougar Town, Gossip Girl, and One Tree Hill. It peeked at number 8 in the Billboard Hot 100, sold 3.5 million copies, and BMI recognized Zancanella’s work with a Songwriter’s Award.

Since 2009, Noel has written across the pop spectrum with artists such as Maroon 5, BOB, Gym Class Heroes, Gavin DeGraw, and Colbie Calliat.

Zancanella’s father was a jazz musician and he grew up playing bass and drums before picking up an MPC drum machine and immersing himself in hip-hop as an artist/producer. In Los Angeles, he took a job at the famous Village Studios and soon found himself working alongside the likes of Janet Jackson and TK. “It was an inspiring time for me. It was the first time I was so deeply exposed to pop,” Zancanella says. Eventually, he crossed paths with Ryan Tedder who, at the time, was working with Timbaland.
