Who is Nuno Resende?

Nuno Resende is a Portuguese singer, born June 25 1973 in Porto, Portugal. He moved to Belgium with his parents in 1985. He studied physical education to become a teacher but decided to begin a musical career.

He was a member of the group La Teuf, who finished sixth in the competition to represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000. He was more successful solo in 2005, representing Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 Semi Final with the song "Le grand soir". Nuno did not make it to the final because his song received 29 points, placing him 22nd from 25 participating countries.

Nuno played in a number of musicals including Belle et la Bête, Roméo et Juliette, and Les Demoiselles de Rochefort, and tackled the role of Aladdin at the Palais des congrès de Paris in December 2007.

In 2009, he joined the musical Mozart, l'opéra rock and was backup for main character "Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart". He was given the opportunity to play Mozart for the first time on april 29, 2010 for the show premiere in Brussels, and once again on may 13 in Lyon.

Currently, Nuno is touring France promoting the musical comedy Adam et Ève : La Seconde Chance by Pascal Obispo, along with Thierry Amiel and Cylia, the major actors in the show. Nuno plays the role of Snake, leader of the people of "the other side" of the city of Eden. The musical comedy's tour was cancelled in august 2012 because of the economic climate.
