Who was Orlando Peçanha de Carvalho?
Orlando Peçanha de Carvalho, known simply as Orlando, was a Brazilian footballer who played defender.
During his club career he played for Vasco da Gama, Boca Juniors and Santos. He was part of the Brazilian team that won the 1958 FIFA World Cup, and also participated in the 1966 FIFA World Cup. In total he earned 30 caps.
Orlando died on 10 February 2010, in Rio de Janeiro, due to a heart attack.
