Who was Otto Eugen Schulz?

Otto Eugen Schulz was a German botanist, born in Berlin. He was the brother of botanist Roman Schulz.

He published important systematic treatments of the families Brassicaceae and Erythroxylaceae, and he is the authority for numerous species in these families. He was the author of a 1903 treatise on the genus Cardamine, titled Monographie der Gattung Cardamine.

The genus Ottoschulzia was named in his honor by Ignatz Urban.

The standard abbreviation used for species of which he is the authority is O. E. Schulz.
