Who is Paanchi?

Paanchi, also given as Piankhi, Piankhy, and Piyi, was an ancient ruler of the kingdom of Nubia. In the 21st year of his reign, he conquered Egypt. He adopted the throne name Menkheperre. Following this conquest, his people the Kushites built pyramids, but smaller and with a sharper inclination than the 52 degrees used by the Egyptians.
