Who is Page the Village Idiot?
Page the Village Idiot is a Phoenix, Arizona singer-songwriter and satirist. He has released three studio albums and one live compilation. His music industry-critical pop music parody, “This Song Sucks,” was nominated by Red Peters for Song of the Year 2007. PTVI’s “Dead Rockstars” has been featured on the Dr. Demento Show.
Notable for his satire of Phoenix-area political figures and social issues, PTVI also targets pop culture personalities, international figures and various subcultural phenomena.
A one-man act, Page the Village Idiot uses guitar, ukulele, a Roland MC-303 and bass pedals to parody diverse musical styles, including rockabilly, blues, electronica, industrial, punk, hip hop, metal, pop and folk.
"Incongruent"-ly, Page the Village Idiot holds a B.A. from Arizona State University and an M.S. from the University of Arizona.
