Who is Pål Steigan?

Pål Steigan is a Norwegian communist and a former leader of the Maoist Workers' Communist Party from 1975 to 1984 and a writer, later an editor. He now runs his own firm, working with culture and ICT. During his term as leader of the AKP, Steigan traveled to several countries ruled by communists, such as China, Czechoslovakia, Albania and Cambodia. In 1975, during his visit in Cambodia, he met the dictator Pol Pot, and supported that regime after his visit. Later, he admitted that supporting the totalitarian Khmer Rouge's regime was a mistake.
