He was later appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Iraq then to Brazil. He was next appointed as Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York then as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France and then to Portugal.
