Who is Rahmad Darmawan?
Rahmad Darmawan, is an Indonesian former football player and current coach of Persebaya. He played for Persija Jakarta and Persikota Tangerang in Indonesia, as well as ATM FA in Malaysia.
Rahmad started his coaching career with Persikota Tangerang before moving to Persipura Jayapura and later Sriwijaya. On his last season with Sriwijaya, Rahmad lead the team to Piala Indonesia title. Later he coached Persija Jakarta, Pelita Jaya and Arema Indonesia. He has won altogether four championships with two different clubs in Indonesian League.
Rahmad was the coach of Indonesia U-23, and also were the assistant head coach of Indonesia senior team, as well as caretaker head coach of the senior team in 2013.
He is also a Commodore in the Indonesian Navy.
