Who was Raja Sajjawal Khan?

Zaildar Raja Sajawal Khan of Mehmunpur was the son of Raja Diwan Khan. He was the first Muslim Zaildar in his area. He had great political stature in Jammu Kashmir and northern Punjab. He was well known in elite circles of pre-partition erra, with whom he had cordial relations. He hosted the first meeting of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference in Mehmunpur in which Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas, Sheikh Abdullah, Sardar Ibrahim Khan, Raja Muhammad Akbar Khan and others participated. This meeting was presided by Raja Muhammad Akbar Khan. He defeated Badri Nath in elections held for the position of Zaildar. In 1953, he died, leaving three sons; Raja Bashir Ahmed Khan, Zaildar, Raja Masood Ahmed Khan, Chief Instructor Civil Defence,and Raja Shabbir Ahmed Khan and His brother in law Raja aladad khan. Raja aladad khans son is called Raja gulnawaz khan president of jklf slough azad kashmir jatalah. Raja gulnawaz khan has three sons Raja saheed khan Raja naveed khan and oldest Raja zahir khan. Raja saheed khan has two sons Raja Mohhamed yousaf khan and Raja mohhamed yunus khan. The oldest brother Raja zahir khan has one son Raja rahim khan.
