Who is Ricardo A Scott?

Ricardo A. Scott is the one from Trench-Town Jamaica who created and coined the word Reggae and was responsible for the name original Wailing Wailers along with his Trench-Town brethrens, Junior Braithwaite, and Garth Dennis. These triumvirate pioneers during their youth living in Trench-Town in 1961-62 started the Reggae genre which now is known world wide. When Bob Marley came into the area to join them thereafter, they passed the torch to him and he formed his own musical group with Peter-Tosh, and Bunny livingston. They took the name and later changed it somewhat to-Bob Marley and the wailers. Peter-Tosh and Bunny left shortly to form their own groups. Bob recruited new musicians and went along to international fame supported by those who wanted to deny Peter and Bunny their rightful contributions.

Ricardo went into school and so left the group which he formed, then Junior went to the USA, and Garth Dennis formed other groups such as Wailing souls and Black uhuru. Today, Ricardo is back with the music and is also a world renown and respected Radiological Technology expert and consultant. He is a published author, poet, educator, advocate, expert witness, humanitarian, and activist. He is the only person today in the history of Reggae who has the true and authentic facts about the origins of Reggae and how it was with all of them during those early Trench-Town days. He is called a leading Reggae historian and pioneer. He has the copyrights to many of the original works with Bob Marley, himself and all his brethrens. No one has what true facts he has in his archives. Folks like noted archivest- Roger Steffens from the Beat in California who has collected several Bob Marley memorabilia over the years has consulted with Ricardo to get some background into the lives of how they were in Trench-Town days.

He is richly sought after by many world reggae enthusiasts who try to steal and pilfer crucial information from those who came from the place at those times. Ricardo is aware of all these people and so must secure and protect the legacy of the Trench-Town people which also includes many of his life history. He is an elder teacher and prophet and the keeper of the Ark of the Trench-Town Reggae covenant.

The world now should know who created Reggae and where the word came from. The books, and dictionaries of etymology, musicology, Guinnes book of records, encyclopedias,music history needs to be corrected. They have failed to publish the truth of what Ricardo has revealed to them. He stands as the preeminent and incontrovertible source on Reggae original history and as a mentor and friend of Bob Marley and a host of both known and unsung heroes of the music.
