Who is Ricardo Rossello?

Ricardo Antonio "Ricky" Rosselló Neváres is an assistant professor at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus and the President and founder of Boricua Ahora Es. He is involved in politics and political commentary in Puerto Rico, and Stem Cell research. Rosselló Nevares is the youngest son of Pedro Rosselló, former Governor of Puerto Rico 1993-2001, and his wife Maga Neváres de Rosselló.

Rosselló was an active campaigner as vice-chairman for the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign in Puerto Rico. As of 2013, there has been frequent speculation in the press about him running for elective public office in Puerto Rico. He is immersed in a grass-roots educational campaign favoring statehood for Puerto Rico, suggesting that involvement of the international community may be necessary for the United States government to take action.

He is a political commentator who currently writes a regular column for El Vocero, a daily newspaper published in San Juan, on topics including politics, science, healthcare and the economy. His scientific research has been published in the cover of The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United_States of Americaand ELife and highlighted in The Scientist
