Who was Robert Hodson?

Robert Leighton Hodson was the second Bishop of Shrewsbury in the modern era.

Educated at Berkhamsted School and St Edmund Hall, Oxford, he was successively Curate at St Peter's Collegiate Church, Wolverhampton, Vicar of St Stephen’s, Cheltenham, Rector of St Peter's and Rural Dean of Wolverhampton and finally Archdeacon of Stafford. He retired in 1959 but died only a year later.
