Who is Robi Botos?
Robi Botos is a Hungarian jazz pianist of Hungarian Roma descent.
He was born in Nyíregyháza and moved to Canada in 1998. He currently lives in Toronto and is very active both in Hungarian and international affairs.
Botos plays with Attila Darvas on bass and his brother Frank Botos on drums. He won the Montreux Jazz Festival piano competition in 2004. Botos is the winner of the TD Grand Jazz Award for the 2012 edition of the Montreal International Jazz Festival.
