Who is Roger Stone?

Roger J. Stone, Jr. is an American political consultant, lobbyist and strategist, noted for his use of opposition research, usually for candidates of the Republican Party. He is currently a member of the Libertarian Party.

In 1990 The New York Times described him as a "renowned infighter" and during the 2004 United States Presidential Campaign, CBS News described Stone as a "veteran Republican strategist." In 2008 The Daily Beast described him as a "self-admitted hit man for the GOP."
