Who is Ronnie Musgrove?
David Ronald "Ronnie" Musgrove is an American politician from the U.S. state of Mississippi. He served as the 29th Lieutenant Governor of Mississippi from January 16, 1996 to January 11, 2000 and the 61st Governor of Mississippi from January 11, 2000 to January 13, 2004. He was defeated by incumbent Senator Roger Wicker in a 2008 special election for one of Mississippi's seats in the U.S. Senate. He is a practicing attorney at Copeland, Cook, Taylor and Bush in Jackson Mississippi. Gov. Musgrove is currently the Chairman of the Southern Progress Fund, and is a Principal at the public affairs consulting firm Company.Politics.
He also currently serves on the Southern Regional Education Board, the Southern States Energy Board, the Executive Committee of the Southern Governors Association, the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the USLAW network,the Southern Growth Policies Board, and the Executive Committee of the Democratic Governors Association and the National Governors Association.
