Who is Ruth Genner?

Ruth Genner is a Swiss politician, member of the government of the city of Zurich, former member of the Swiss National Council and leader of the Green Party of Switzerland. She ran for the Swiss Federal Council in 2003, challenging incumbent Samuel Schmid, but lost by 167 votes to 13.

Genner is a food engineer. She was the chairman of the Swiss Aids Federation and in the board of directors of the company bio.inspecta.
