Who was Ryūtarō Nakamura?
Ryūtarō Nakamura was a Japanese director and animator, best known for directing the landmark anime series Serial Experiments Lain, and for his collaboration with Masamune Shirow and Chiaki J. Konaka on Ghost Hound. He was last noted as currently working on his latest project, Despera, but production was postponed due to Nakamura suffering an illness. He died on June 29, 2013.
