Who is Safeway Goya?
Safeway Goya was lead singer of The Nobodys, who released an album on Capitol Records and EMI International August 8, 1984. The album as well as the first single from it are both titled "No Guarantees". Goya produced the album and wrote the songs with guitarist & keyboardist Alex Blanc. The group's video, shot in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Los Angeles, aired on MTV that year. The single, "No Guarantees," was used in Michael Apted's movie Firstborn, starring Peter Weller & Teri Garr, and in episode 27, "Buddies," of the television series Miami Vice.
