Who is Saifuddin Abdullah?

Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah is a Malaysian politician and is a former Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Temerloh constituency in Pahang, until he lost to PAS's Nasrudin Hassan in the 2013 General Elections. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation party and is the Deputy Minister for Higher Education in the Barisan Nasional government of Najib Razak.

Saifuddin was elected to Parliament in the 2008 election, and was immediately appointed as a deputy minister, being cited as a future ministerial prospect.

Saifuddin was previously the Secretary-General of the Malaysian Youth Council. He has written four books on Malaysian politics.
