Who was Scot Halpin?

Thomas Scot Halpin was an artist and musician noted for sitting in for The Who's Keith Moon during a rock concert at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. In 1973 he was awarded Rolling Stone magazine's "Pick-Up Player of the Year Award" for his historic performance during this show.
