Who is Sorin Cismas?
Sorin Cismas is the CTO and founder of Mobilygen. Sorin was previously
the Chief Scientist at Zoran Corporation, prior to founding Mobilygen.
Before Zoran, Sorin was the CTO and co-founder of CompCore Multimedia
Inc., which was acquired by Zoran in 1996. CompCore produced market
leading MPEG video cores and DVD software. He has extensive digital
multi-media design experience obtained while employed at LSI Logic,
where his digital video technology is shipping in the Sony Playstations
I and II. Sorin has a BSEE and MSEE from the Bucharest Polytechnic
Institute. Prior to coming to the U.S., Sorin was a research engineer
at the Romanian Institute for Computer Technology and a participant in
the International Math Olympics.
