Who was Stanford J. Shaw?

Stanford Jay Shaw was an American historian, best known for his works on the late Ottoman Empire, Turkish Jews, and the early Turkish Republic. He has been described as "one of the most prolific Ottoman historians in the United States." Shaw was also well known for his denial of the Armenian Genocide.
