Who was Stanley Zietz?
Stanley Zietz was a mathematician and scientist who was a researcher, professor, department chairperson, and humanitarian.
Zietz studied at MIT, Berkeley, Temple University, and did research worldwide. He wrote his PhD dissertation under the supervision of Hans-Joachim Bremermann on the subject of Cell Cycle Kinetic Modelling and Optimal Control in the Service of Cancer Chemotherapy.
Zietz, department chairman at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, formerly tenured, full professor at Drexel University, published widely in the fields of mathematics, statistics, computer science, biomedical research, and other fields, was born in 1950 in Bronx, New York City, New York. He was married to Elizabeth Zietz, Ph.D. and the father of two daughters, Bekah and Sukie.
