Who is Stephen P. Friot?

Stephen P. Friot is a United States federal judge.

Born in Troy, New York, Friot received a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma in 1969 and a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1972. He was in private practice in Oklahoma from 1972 to 2001.

On September 4, 2001, Friot was nominated by President George W. Bush to a seat on the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma vacated by Wayne E. Alley. Friot was confirmed by the United States Senate on November 6, 2001, and received his commission on November 12, 2001.
