Who is T. S. John?

T.S. John is a member of Kerala Congress, was born on 21-10-1939 at Kaviyoor, as the son of Shri. Mathai. .An active member of students movements while at SB College, Changanachery, he subsequently became a Member of Kaviyoor Panchayat. He was a former Minister and Speaker in Kerala, India and a former MLA from Kallooppara in Pathanamthitta district. He was elected from Kallooppara legislative assembly in 1970, 1977, 1982, 1996. He is a Syrian Christian.He graced the Chair of Speaker of the 4th Kerala Legislative Assembly for a short period from 17-2-1976 to 25-3-1977.T.S. John also served as the Minister for Food & Civil Supplies from 19-10-1978 to 27-10-1978 in the A.K.Antony Ministry. In the reconstituted Ministry that followed under the leadership of Shri.P.K.Vasudevan Nair, he continued to be the Minister for Food & Civil Supplies, for the period from 29-10-1978 to 7-10-1979.His wife is Smt. Aleykutty and they have a son. He is a senior advocate in the Kerala high court.
