Who is Taylor Eigsti?
Taylor Eigsti is an American jazz pianist and composer.
Eigsti has performed and recorded with many contemporaries including: Eric Harland, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Joshua Redman, Christian McBride, Nicholas Payton, Ambrose Akinmusire, Walter Smith III, Dayna Stephens, Julian Lage, Reuben Rogers, Larry Grenadier, Kendrick Scott, Gretchen Parlato, and Mike Moreno, among others.
Eigsti was considered a child prodigy. He has been a faculty member at the Stanford Jazz Workshop at Stanford University since age 15. He has recorded seven albums as a leader and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards. He currently resides in New York City with his wife.
