Who is Thomas Leo Hubbard?
Thomas Hubbard worked with behaviorally challenged teens in Everett, Washington and on the Tulalip Reservation, presenting traditional subject matter as a means of modeling non-confrontational conflict resolution in the classroom. Being a professional writer, he presented mainly subject matter in language arts, but occasionally ventured into other disciplines as needed. He gained rapport with students partly because of his experience as a musician, performing blues music in roadhouses, bars and other venues. Hubbard retired from teaching in 2002 and currently operates an independent publishing imprint, gazoobi tales, in addition to continuing as a musician. (2009)
