Who is Tomethy Furse?

Tom Cowan (better known as Tomethy Furse) (born on March 11, 1987) is the bassist for Southend-based group The Horrors. He attended Rugby School with fellow band member Faris Badwan. He uses two basses, a Danelectro Longhorn Bass and a Fender Mustang Bass. He is also part of the side project Spider And The Flies with Rhys 'Spider' Webb; their music is instrumental, and influenced by the work of Delia Derbyshire and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop (on which topic he wrote an article for the band's fanzine), and Joe Meek-produced instrumentals.
