Who is Tyler Goldman?
Tyler Goldman brings a wealth of experience launching and heading up
innovative entertainment and technology companies to Buzznet. Prior to
joining the company, Goldman served as a board member and acting
President of Feedster, an RSS Search Engine.
From 2002 to 2005, Goldman was Senior Vice President, Business and
Corporate Development at Movielink, a joint venture among Warner Bros.
Studios, Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios, Sony Pictures
Entertainment and MGM, for the digital distribution of video content.
In this role, he was responsible for guiding the corporate growth of
Movielink, including all of its strategic partnerships with companies
like Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications, Intel, ATT and AOL.
In 1998, Goldman founded Broadband Sports, Inc. (BSS), a pioneering
Internet publisher and syndicator of sports content, which was funded
by leading venture capital, technology and media companies, including
DirecTV and Clear Channel Communications. As CEO and President, Goldman
built a team of 300 and was responsible for the company's $20+ million
in sales and was instrumental in developing partnerships with a network
of distributors across satellite, cable and Internet platforms,
including DirecTV, Fox Sports, Yahoo!, ESPN, AOL and eBay.
Prior to BBS, Goldman was one of five members of Steinberg
Moorad, the country's preeminent sports law firm, where he led the
firm's media and investment initiatives. He was also an attorney at
Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich Rosati, where he focused on corporate
matters for venture capital firms and high-tech companies.
Goldman holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of
Business, Northwestern University, where he received the Dean's Award
for finishing first in his class, a J.D. from Northwestern University
School of Law and a B.A. from Dartmouth College.
Goldman currently resides in Los Angeles with his family.
