Who is Ulrich Kohlenbach?

Ulrich Wilhelm Kohlenbach is a German professor of mathematics and a researcher in logic. He graduated from Lessing-Gymnasium in 1980 and completed his studies of mathematics, philosophy, and linguistics with a master degree from the University of Frankfurt. In 1990, he received his Ph.D. under H. Luckhardt and passed his Habilitation in mathematics five years later at the University of Frankfurt. In 1998, he became an associate professor at the University of Aarhus in Denmark where he worked until 2004. Kohlenbach is now a full professor at the Technische Universität Darmstadt. He is married to Gabriele Bahl-Kohlenbach with whom he has a daughter.

His research interests lie in the field of "proof mining".
