Who was Umm Rumman?
Umm Rummān Zaynab bint ‘Āmir, known by her kunyah "Umm Rummān" was a Ṣaḥābīyah of the Prophet Muhammad. She was a wife of Abu Bakr and the mother of ‘Ā’ishah, the favorite wife of prophet Muḥammad. Her name means 'the mother of pomegranates'.
